Retired ACK Bishop Julius Kalu has called on leaders to tone down political rhetoric as Christians mark Palm Sunday, ushering in the Holy Week.
Kalu, who led faithful in celebrations at ACK St Peter’s Nyali Parish in Mombasa, emphasised the need for peace, unity, and reflection during the sacred period.
“As we begin this Holy Week, leaders must embrace tolerance and avoid divisive politics that may undermine peace,” he said.
The bishop urged Kenyans to use the period for prayer, humility, and reconciliation, noting that the values of the season should guide both leaders and c
itizens.
