Kenya and the European Union have held high-level talks to strengthen cooperation on digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence and online safety.
The meeting was led by Principal Secretary Stephen Isaboke and EU Deputy Director-General Renate Nikolay, focusing on 5G rollout, AI governance and safe digital spaces.
“Kenya and the EU already have a strong partnership… this dialogue allows us to support innovation while protecting users,” Nikolay said.
Isaboke said the partnership will support Kenya’s digital transformation.
“The EU brings technical expertise… critical for ensuring our digital future is secure, inclusive and sustainable,
” he said.
