Kenya is mourning, following the tragic death of Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament Johana Ng’eno, who perished in a helicopter crash in Mosop, Nandi County, on Saturday evening.
President William Ruto led the nation in mourning, describing the late MP as a fearless, focused and progressive leader who served his people with dedication.
“Mheshimiwa Ng’eno was a devoted servant of the people, a courageous defender of justice and equity, and a leader who worked tirelessly for the progress of Emurua Dikirr. Kenya has lost a great son,” said President Ruto.
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula announced the legislator’s death, conveying heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Parliamentary Service Commission and the National Assembly.
“Hon. Ng’eno was an astute, fearless and dedicated public servant whose commitment to development and representation was exemplary,” said Wetang’ula.
The late MP will be remembered for championing development, justice, equity and promotion of local talent, especially in music, across Emurua Dikirr Constituency.
Condolences continue to pour in for his family, friends, the people of Emurua Dikirr, and all families affected by the tragic helicopter crash.
