MALAWI: Second Vice President Chihana Inspects Development Projects in Rumphi

Second Vice President Enock Chihana is this afternoon inspecting various development projects in Rumphi District.
During the visit, Chihana toured Bolero Community Hospital, where he inspected the construction of a mortuary facility. He told journalists, “We are committed to ensuring that health facilities in Rumphi meet the needs of our people. The mortuary construction is a step in the right direction.”
He also visited Bolero Market, where he promised to support the completion of the market shelter and the improvement of sanitation facilities. “Clean and safe market spaces are vital for traders and customers alike. We will ensure these facilities are upgraded,” Chihana said.
The Second Vice President further paid a courtesy call on Paramount Chief Chikulamayembe at his residence in Bolero. Chihana described the visit as “an opportunity to strengthen our partnership with traditional leaders in advancing community development.”
He was accompanied by Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) parliamentary aspirant for the Rumphi Central Constituency by-election, Paul Nyirenda, and other political leaders.
