Malawi Police have arrested six men in connection with the murder of Dr Victoria Bobe, who was a lecturer at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences.

According to a statement signed by national police spokesperson Lael Chimtembo, the suspects are Raphael Msalanyama Mano, a Mozambican national, Issa Ali, Santos Chamamba, Maxwell Eliya, Charles Chikafa and Peter Chimenya.
Chimtembo said the murder occurred on November 17, 2025, at Chigumula Township in Blantyre, where the suspects are believed to have broken into the house and attacked the deceased.
“The suspects allegedly stole a handbag, a laptop and a tablet phone, among other personal items, after committing the offence,” said Chimtembo.
He added that investigations are still underway to track down other suspects believed to have been involved in the crime and to recover the remaining stolen property, which is suspected to have been taken to Mozambique.
