Nigerian Air Force Strikes Terrorist Workshop In Southern Tumbuns, Destroys Logistics Hub
By Onoja Baba, Nigeria
The Nigerian Air Force has carried out a successful precision air interdiction mission against a terrorist logistics site at Dabar Masara in the Southern Tumbuns area of Lake Chad, neutralising armed elements and destroying key infrastructure in a major blow to insurgent operations.
Acting on credible intelligence about a terrorist workshop and ongoing movements of fighters, the Air Component of Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI launched coordinated intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions followed by targeted strikes.
In a statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation confirmed positive identification of the targets before engagement, conducted in full compliance with the Rules of Engagement.
Post-strike Battle Damage Assessment verified that identified vehicles were completely destroyed and several terrorist elements eliminated.
The mission highlights the Nigerian Air Force’s emphasis on intelligence-led, precision airstrikes to systematically degrade terrorist networks, disrupt supply chains, and bolster regional security as part of broader counter-insurgency efforts in the North East.
Authorities say such operations remain critical to denying terrorists freedom of action and supporting the restoration of lasting peace across affected communities.
