MALAWI: Machinga MP Tulinje Muluzi Donates Food Relief To Storm-Hit Families
By Smile Hamilton, Malawi
At least 500 people from six villages affected by heavy rains and strong winds that struck Machinga District on Wednesday night have received food relief from Machinga Likwenu Member of Parliament, Tulinje Muluzi.
Muluzi has donated maize flour, salt and vegetables to the affected households.
Speaking during the donation ceremony at St. Theresa Primary School in Liwonde, Muluzi urged government officials to avoid politicising the relief items so that every victim benefits regardless of their political affiliation or religious background.

He appealed to authorities to work together in supporting families who are in need of food, warm clothing and shelter following the disaster.
Seventy-nine-year-old Anastancia Paul of Chibwana Village, one of the beneficiaries, thanked the MP for rescuing them from hunger that has troubled many households in the area.
