Local filmmaker Alinafe Trywell Mwambira has announced that preparations are in the final stages for the release of his upcoming movie, Royal Dilemma, which is scheduled to premiere in early November.
Mwambira described the production as a high-quality film that brings together some of Malawi’s top acting talent, promising both entertainment and valuable life lessons for audiences.
The movie delves into themes of royalty, family, and love, centering on two royal households whose destinies intertwine in unexpected ways. Mwambira encouraged Malawians to support the film once it is officially released.
“This project showcases the beauty of Malawian storytelling and talent. I believe viewers will relate deeply to its message and emotional depth,” said Mwambira.
The film features a strong cast, including Miracle Chinga, Ida Chabs, Andy Seko, Joyce Mhango Chavula, and Mwambira himself.
Mwambira further revealed that Royal Dilemma will be premiered in Lilongwe before moving to other cities, with plans to take it to regional film festivals as part of efforts to promote Malawi’s creative industry on the global stage.
