Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will today depart Abuja for Kano, to commiserate with the Kano State Government and the family of the late Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
The development was made known by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement issued on Thursday.
Dantata, a revered businessman and philanthropist, died in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on June 28 at the age of 94. He was buried at the Al-Baqi Cemetery in Madina, Saudi Arabia, on July 1.
President Tinubu was out of the country at the time of Dantata’s passing but had directed a delegation of ministers, led by the Minister of Defence, to attend the burial in Saudi Arabia as a mark of honour to the late nonagenarian.
The President’s visit to Kano is part of his continued tribute to the enduring legacy of Dantata, who was widely respected for his contributions to commerce, philanthropy, and national development.
