A special session of the Federal Executive Council will be held on Thursday in honour of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Presidential adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
He said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will lead the tribute session scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
The special FEC meeting will offer ministers and other top government officials the opportunity to pay their respects and reflect on the leadership of the late president.
Former President Buhari died in London on Sunday after a prolonged illness. He was 82 years old.
His remain was flown to Nigeria on a Nigerian Air Force aircraft for burial.
Buhari was buried in his hometown of Daura according to Islamic rites.
He served as Nigeria’s military ruler from 1983 to 1985 and later as a democratically elected president from 2015 to 2023.
