NIGERIA: Tinubu Congratulates Okpebholo On Supreme Court Victory

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State following the Supreme Court’s affirmation of his election.
The President’s message came shortly after the apex court upheld the outcome of the September 2024 governorship election in Edo, which saw Okpebholo emerge as winner.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga on Thursday, President Tinubu urged the governor to be magnanimous in victory.
He called on Governor Okpebholo to unite the people of Edo across political and social lines in pursuit of the state’s progress.
The President said the time had come for the governor to build on his current efforts and deliver exceptional service and good governance.
President Tinubu also congratulated the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State on the legal victory.
He encouraged the party to remain united and focused on fulfilling the mandate entrusted to them by the people.
