Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has taken to social media to address critics who frequently advise him to keep his marriage off the public eye.
In a post he made on his Instagram page, Edochie expressed frustration with unsolicited advice and criticism about his personal life.
Referring to those who advocate for privacy in marital matters, Edochie wrote, “Ndi ‘keep your marriage off social media’ kwenu! Ndi ala.” He argued that even people who keep their marriages private still face challenges, saying, “You wey hide your marriage inside house you no still divorce? Your wife no leave you? Psycos.”
The actor further condemned those who focus on advising others while neglecting their own issues. “Everybody na adviser for social media. Your own life go dey scatter, you no fit fix am. But you sabi advise other people,” he added.
Defending his right to post about his wife as often as he likes, Edochie challenged his critics, saying, “If I post my wife one million times on my page how e take concern you? Na you buy me data abi na your wife I post?”
Edochie also criticized the public’s tendency to only celebrate people posthumously, noting that many only “wear black gather for person burial” but show little support while people are alive. He concluded his post by telling those offended by his updates to “hug transformer.”
