The Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services, has warned that Malawi will experience a severe heatwave from December 19 to 23, 2024.
According to a statement released by the department, the heatwave is expected to affect the entire country, with temperatures soaring to extreme highs.
The department has warned that the heatwave will bring with it severe dryness, which may lead to dehydration and other heat-related illnesses.
“During this period, the country will experience extremely hot temperatures, which will bring with them severe dryness,” said the department.
