South Sudan President Sends Delegation to Qatar for Bilateral Talks

President Salva Kiir Mayardit has dispatched a high-level government delegation to the State of Qatar to hold bilateral talks aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between South Sudan and Doha.
The delegation is led by Presidential Security Advisor Tut Gatluak Manime and includes senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Petroleum, the Ministry of Transport, as well as representatives from other key government institutions.
According to a statement from the President’s office on Friday, Tut Gatluak said the delegation is traveling with clear directives from President Kiir to engage Qatari officials on issues of mutual interest and concern.
Government officials noted that the visit aligns with South Sudan’s broader efforts to deepen diplomatic engagement and expand economic partnerships with regional and international partners.
During the visit, the delegation is expected to hold discussions on trade, investment opportunities, energy cooperation, and transport infrastructure, among other areas of potential collaboration.
