SOUTH SUDAN: Israel To Open Free Cardiac Surgery Clinic For Children In South Sudan

A significant advancement in healthcare is underway as a free cardiac surgery clinic for children is set to open at Al Sabah Hospital in Juba, initiated by the Israeli organization Save a Child’s Heart.
This announcement came during a meeting between President Salva Kiir Mayardit and Israeli Ambassador Gershon Kedar. The president’s office stated, “Ambassador Kedar announced that the Israeli NGO Save a Child’s Heart will soon launch a free cardiac surgery clinic at Juba’s Al Sabah Children’s Hospital.”
Ambassador Kedar voiced hopes for the stability and prosperity of South Sudan, highlighting Israel’s commitment to collaboration in agriculture, healthcare, and education.
In addition to the healthcare initiative, Ambassador Kedar informed President Kiir about Israel’s STEM education program at the University of Juba. The program is designed to inspire high school students to pursue careers in science and engineering.
President Kiir expressed his gratitude towards Israel, stressing the importance of these initiatives for the development of South Sudan and the shared focus on sustainable growth.
