Prominent Malawian Politician Patricia Kaliati Arrested Over Alleged Felony Conspiracy

Police in Lilongwe have arrested Patricia Kaliati, a prominent Malawian politician and Secretary General of the United Transformation Movement (UTM), over an alleged felony conspiracy.
Kaliati was arrested on Thursday and is being charged with conspiracy to commit a felony under Section 404 of the Malawi Penal Code. According to Peter Kalaya, National Police spokesperson, Kaliati is suspected of conspiring with two other individuals, who are still at large.
