Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left the Galeão Air Force Base in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Saturday, en route to Abuja after participating in the 19th G20 Leaders Summit.
Recall AFRICAN CULTURE TV reported that the President departed Abuja for Brazil on 17th November, to attend the 19th meeting of the G20 Leaders’ Summit taking place in the South American country.
He is expected to arrive at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 10:00 p.m. Nigerian time.
During the summit, Tinubu endorsed the global alliance against hunger and poverty, emphasising its importance in addressing critical global challenges.
The President also held bilateral talks with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, who praised the economic reforms of his administration and their promising results.
In a major economic move, Tinubu presided over the signing of a $2.5 billion Letter of Intent between the Nigerian government and JBS S.A., a Brazilian multinational and one of the world’s largest meat processing companies.
The agreements and discussions at the summit underscore Nigeria’s commitment to international cooperation and economic development under Tinubu’s leadership.
