Nigeria – Wike Denies PDP Mole Accusation, Says Party Members Also Nominated Names For Tinubu’s Appointments

The Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has responded to accusations from some governors under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), alleging that he is a mole for the All-Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, Wike countered the accusation claiming that PDP members sent nominations to President Bola Tinubu during the recent ministerial appointments.
“Who in the PDP that didn’t try to nominate names for President Tinubu’s appointments?
“Yes, they did. Let them come forward and say they did not do it,” he stated.
Recall that there has been tension in Rivers state, between Sim Fubara the governor of Rivers state and Nyesom Wike, the Minister of FCT, all members of the People’s Democratic Party.
This has led to several outbursts and more recently the FCT Minister, promising not to allow anyone to take over the People’s Democratic Party structure in Rivers State.
He promised to cause a political crisis in the states of any PDP governor who tries interfering in the party’s affairs in Rivers state.
