NIGERIA: Vice President Shettima Leads Delegation To Condole Governor Ododo Over Father’s Death

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Wednesday arrived in Kogi State to condole with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on the passing of his father, the late Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo.
The arrival of the Vice President was announced in a statement relesed by Unubi Emmanuel, Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of the state.
The Vice President, who led a presidential delegation to the state, was received at the Obajana Airstrip by the Deputy Governor of Kogi, Comrade Joel Salifu.
Late Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo died on Monday at the age of 83. His death has continued to attract condolences from across the country.
Among those who joined the Deputy Governor to welcome the Vice President were the Member representing Idah Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. David Idris Zacharias; Ofu State Constituency lawmaker, Shehu Seidu Amodu; Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Folashade Arike Ayoade; and the Head of Service, Dr. Isaiah Evinemi.
Others at the airstrip included the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hilary Ojoma Egwudah; State Security Adviser, Rtd. Commander Jerry Omadara; Director General of KOSSIPA, Hajia Oyiza Omade; Adviser on Legislative Matters, Rt. Hon. Momoh Alfa Rabiu; Special Adviser on Labour Matters, Onuh Edoka; and the Director General of Kogi Community Watch, Muhammed Nasiru Alfa.
Heads of security agencies in the state and other senior government officials were also in attendance.
The Vice President is expected to proceed to the Governor’s residence to personally commiserate with him and his family.
