Nigeria – VeryDarkMan Reveals Phone Numbers Bobrisky Allegedly Called While In Prison
By Onoja Baba, Nigeria
Social media influencer and activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has released further evidence to support his claims against crossdresser Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and the Nigerian Prison Service.
In a video posted on Saturday morning, VeryDarkMan shared details of four phone numbers and their corresponding addresses, alleging that these were individuals Bobrisky contacted while supposedly serving a prison sentence.
The video, captioned, “Now let’s move to step 1B since you people think I don’t know what I am doing. Dear EFCC and prison, I have been ahead of y’all from day 1… everything go cast, I no send anybody papa,” has raised fresh questions about Bobrisky’s time in custody.
VeryDarkMan challenged the EFCC and the Nigerian Prison Service to explain how Bobrisky was able to use a private phone for communication during his alleged detention.
The activist’s accusations added to the growing controversy surrounding Bobrisky’s reported prison term.
This follows an earlier leaked audio recording, published by VeryDarkMan, which allegedly details Bobrisky’s interactions with government officials during a supposed six-month prison term.
In the recording, Bobrisky is accused of paying N15 million to the EFCC to have money laundering charges against him dropped.
In response, Bobrisky’s legal team, R.T. Omuvwie & Co., issued a cease-and-desist notice, claiming the audio had been manipulated using artificial intelligence (AI).
The team demanded the immediate removal of the audio, public apologies from VeryDarkMan, and N1 billion in damages for defamation. They warned that failure to meet their demands would result in legal action.
The AI manipulation claim has sparked widespread debate across social media and prompted investigations by both government agencies and the Nigerian House of Representatives.
When questioned at a session of the House of Representatives, where Bobrisky was absent, but VeryDarkMan was present, officials from the Nigerian Prison Service admitted that Bobrisky had been moved to a “private prison” due to his “special features.”
The admission has raised further suspicions about preferential treatment and possible breaches of prison regulations.
