Popular social media personality VeryDarkMan has revealed that renowned music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, is the unknown benefactor behind a ₦100 million donation to his newly established Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
African Culture TV reported that VeryDarkMan initially raised alarm on Instagram after noticing a sudden large deposit in the NGO’s Zenith Bank account.
In his video, he expressed confusion and concern, asking the bank to investigate the origin of the funds and publicly declaring that he was not involved in money laundering or fraud.
“@zenithbankplc, please investigate my NGO account. I don’t know what is going on, hope I’m not being set up… I AM NOT INTO MONEY LAUNDERING, I DO NOT DO FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD),” he posted, urging Nigerians to bear witness.
However, in a follow-up video released on Thursday, VeryDarkMan confirmed that Don Jazzy had reached out and informed him that the donation was from him.
The music producer contributed the funds to support the cause, trusting VeryDarkMan’s transparency.
VeryDarkMan explained, “Guys, yesterday I posted that I received ₦100m in my account… I panicked because I didn’t expect anybody to just send me ₦100m like that… After reaching out to people, Don Jazzy finally messaged me.”
Don Jazzy’s message read: “Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send ₦100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been… More blessings to you. It’s not easy.”
