Nigeria – Tragedy Strikes As School Building Collapses In Jos North, Trapping Students

Saints Academy Secondary School, a two-story building in the Busa-Buji area of Jos North Local Government of Plateau State, has reportedly collapsed, trapping many students under its debris.
It was reported that the building collapsed in the early hours of Friday, around 11 in the morning.
At the time of filing this report, an immediate intervention had already begun, with emergency response teams arriving to rescue children trapped under the debris.
Residents and onlookers were said to have joined the rescue efforts, using their bare hands to remove some of the debris.
Rescue workers, parents of students, and community members have flocked to the site, creating a tense atmosphere and anxious moments, as injuries have been confirmed and rumors of fatalities are circulating.
