Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has commiserated with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, over the death of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.
Tinubu’s commiseration was contained in a statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, released on Monday.
Mama Yilwatda passed away on Sunday morning at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital at the age of 83.
In his condolence message, President Tinubu described her as a virtuous woman who lived a life devoted to faith, service, and the upliftment of her community.
He urged Prof. Yilwatda to take solace in the purposeful life his late mother lived, while accepting her passing as the will of God.
The President prayed for the repose of her soul and asked God to grant the APC Chairman, his family, and all those she left behind the fortitude to
bear the loss.
