President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, this afternoon for an official visit.
This development marks a significant milestone in the state’s developmental strides under Governor Peter Mbah.
Touching down at about 1:22 pm aboard the Nigeria Air Force Airbus A330, Tinubu was warmly welcomed by an array of dignitaries, including Governors Peter Mbah, Hope Uzodimma, and Alex Otti, as well as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, and business mogul Arthur Eze.
During his one-day visit, the President commissioned the Enugu International Conference Centre, a flagship project of the Mbah administration designed to boost tourism and investment in the region.
He also unveiled several other transformative initiatives, including smart green schools and modernised healthcare facilities aimed at improving access to education and healthcare across the state’s 260 wards.
Governor Mbah described the projects as a testament to his administration’s focus on sustainable development, emphasising their role in shaping a secure and prosperous future for Enugu.
Tinubu, visibly impressed, commended the governor’s vision, calling the efforts a beacon of hope and progress for the entire nation.
The President’s itinerary also included rural road projects and urban infrastructure upgrades, which have significantly improved connectivity and economic activity in the state.
