NIGERIA: Solomon Buchi Fires Back At Daddyfreeze Over Comments On Apostle Emmanuel Iren
By Utebor Paul, Nigeria
In a heated exchange on social media, popular writer and relationship expert Solomon Buchi has criticised media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddyfreeze for his remarks on Apostle Emmanuel Iren, the founder of Celebration Church International (CCI).
Buchi’s response came after Daddyfreeze made a statement suggesting that Iren’s recent defence of his ministry was motivated by financial concerns.
Daddyfreeze had earlier taken to social media, commenting on Iren’s defence of his ministry, saying, “Peter Obi don touch the pocket of Iren o…
“The anointing is annoyed… What an annoying thing…. Baba submit power point presentation to defend his enterprise. Nigeria needs more night shifts and less night vigils and that’s on point.
“Pasta dey shalaye o, make office no go close for him head.. the 2 most profitable and recession proof business ventures in Nigeria are politics and Religion.”
Reacting to Daddyfreeze’s statement, Buchi called out the media personality, accusing him of hypocrisy. “Daddyfreeze, you’re also talking?” Buchi began.
He alleged that Daddyfreeze associates with influential figures, including a “community leader who calls himself a pastor,” for personal gain.
Buchi also pointed out Daddyfreeze’s past association with Hushpuppi, the infamous Nigerian influencer convicted of fraud in the United States, and accused Daddyfreeze of using journalism as a tool for social climbing.
Buchi went further to mock Daddyfreeze’s online church, “Free the Sheeple,” which he said had not been successful. He described the church as “an association of jokers,” questioning its impact since its launch.
“Please, stop talking when serious people are sharing opinions,” Buchi concluded, advising Daddyfreeze to “focus on eating at ‘pastor’ Tobi’s birthday party.” His remarks ended with a sarcastic thanks to “uncle white”.
