Nigeria – Reactions Pour In As Ebonyi Deputy Governor Shares N1,000 To Less Privileged

A video of the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Patricia Obila, distributing N1,000 notes to less privileged individuals has sparked outrage among social media users, with many condemning the act as an insult to the dignity of the beneficiaries.
The clip, which has gone viral, shows the Deputy Governor wearing blue native attire, while walking along a busy road in the state with her security guards and distributing one thousand naira notes to okada men and beggars.
Reacting to the video on Instagram yesterday, one user, @234.own, speculated that the recipients might be under some form of manipulation, saying: “These people fit Dey use juju. The kind of juju weh be say as u see them in person u go just turn mumu.”
Another user, @lingeriebytemmy, didn’t hold back, describing the situation as disgraceful, writing, “This is so shameful.”
@mislena_collections_ said, “It’s even the Lean on Me soundtrack. Swallow your pride and collect 1k poverty alleviation.”
Meanwhile, @bisolamila2 questioned the background of the Deputy Governor, adding, “What is this? This woman don do agbero work before… nothing wey una wan tell me.”
@mzolanma remarked, “Is that even enough for 2 litres of fuel? Naija politicians and mediocrity are like conjoined twins.”
