The Nigeria Police Force has announced the imminent graduation of 10,000 recruit constables from various training institutions across the country.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The passing-out parade ceremony, slated for Thursday, January 23, 2025, will take place at four Police Colleges and 12 Training Schools nationwide, with the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, serving as the reviewing officer.
According to the release, the graduating constables have undergone extensive physical and mental training, equipping them with the skills and orientation necessary to address Nigeria’s complex security challenges while upholding the rule of law.
IGP Egbetokun expressed optimism that the new officers would exhibit exceptional professionalism, integrity, and dedication to service.
He emphasized that their deployment would bolster community engagement, enhance crime response, and improve public safety.
Upon graduation, the constables will be assigned to various state commands, contributing to grassroots policing efforts and fostering stronger relationships between the police and the communities they serve.
This strategic move, the statement noted, is aimed at fortifying police units and ensuring more effective security operations across the country.
