The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) have reportedly released on bail condition, Mr. Shuaibu Yushau, who attempted committing on a broadcast mast.
Recall that Shuaibu had climbed the Aso radio broadcast mass in Katampe, Abuja, on July 8th to commit suicide but was rescued and arrested.
He was later referred to the Social Development Secretariat (SDS) of the FCT administration for a mental health evaluation.
Despite the assessment concluding that he is mentally stable, symptoms of anxiety, persistent worry, and fear were noted during his profiling.
The FCTA SDS suggested that the individual should attend weekly sessions at their office for continued psycho-social support and care, which was a condition for his bail.
His solicitor was tasked with ensuring he appeared at the command whenever required.
However, Yushau’s release was disclosed in a statement by Josephine Adeh, the Federal Capital Territory Police Command Public Relations Officer, in Abuja on Friday.
He was released by his lawyer Deji Adeyanju, on bail.
