NIGERIA: Police Operatives In Adamawa Begin Search For Two Kidnapped EYN Pastors In Billa, Malabu

The Adamawa State Police Command, has ordered its operatives to search and rescue the two EYN pastors (Ishaku D Chiwar and Reverend James Kwayam), kidnapped in the early hours of Monday morning.
According to a press statement shared with African Culture TV by the Command’s spokesman, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, on Monday, the incident occurred at Billa Malabu, in Fufore local government area.
Nguroje said the kidnappers targeted the house of the victims located at Hayin Gada, in Billa village, Malabu district of Fufore local government area, and kidnapped them.
Describing the horrible situation, the spokesman said: “The kidnappers, who were armed with offensive weapons, invaded the victims’ houses around 2:00 am and whisked them away.”
Meanwhile, reacting to this incident, Nguroje highlighted that the Commissioner of Police (CP), Dankombo Morris, vehemently condemned the “unprovoked kidnap.”
Nguroje said: “On the strength of that, the Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, Psc (+), deployed the command’s operational and manpower assets to give a hot chase to the kidnappers, rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators.”
He said the progressive efforts of the command will definitely bring the perpetrators and other persons involved to justice.
The spokesman also emphasised the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and resisting all forms of violent crimes in the state.
He also said: “The unprovoked kidnapping of religious leaders is unacceptable, as they are critical Stakeholders in policing service.
“The command, while appealing for calm, therefore seeks the support and cooperation of the general public in its quest to protect lives and property.”
