NIGERIA: NYSC Extends Batch ‘C’ Registration by 48 Hours Amid Network Glitches
By Ameenat Hamzat | Lagos, Nigeria
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a 48-hour extension for the ongoing 2025 Batch ‘C’ online registration following widespread complaints by Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) over network-related difficulties.
In a statement released by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, on Friday, the NYSC management acknowledged the technical challenges being experienced by some applicants, attributing the delays to poor network connectivity.
According to the statement, the agency is working around the clock to resolve the issues and ensure a smooth registration process for all applicants.
The NYSC noted: “The longer than usual time it is taking some PCMs to complete the registration is as a result of network issues. While Management regrets the inconvenience this might have caused our valued PCMs, we wish to assure all that we are working around the clock to resolve the issues and ensure they enjoy seamless registration.”
To mitigate the impact of the delay, the NYSC extended the registration deadline by 48 hours, moving it to midnight of Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
The agency urged prospective corps members to remain patient and take advantage of the extended window to complete their registration.
The NYSC online registration portal is a crucial step in the mobilization process for Nigerian graduates preparing to serve in the one-year mandatory national service scheme.
