NIGERIA: Nollywood Actor Ugezu Ugezu Questions Nigerian Politicians ‘Post-Office Knowledge’

By Utebor Paul, Nigeria
Veteran Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Ugezu J. Ugezu, has raised concerns about the conduct of Nigerian politicians, questioning why they only begin to make meaningful statements after leaving office.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, the filmmaker wrote, “There’s something in Nigerian politics that someone should please explain.
“Why is it that Nigerian politicians will only start talking sense once they leave office? Is it that we have demons in all the government offices that blind them once they get sworn in?”
He lamented the state of the country, describing Nigeria as being in a “mess” and stressed the need for sincerity in governance to address the nation’s challenges.
Ugezu signed off his post with, “Ugezu J. Ugezu Writes.”
