Nigeria – Nigerian U-18 Basketball Team Set For FIBA Qualifiers In Abidjan

Nigeria’s male and female U-18 basketball teams have landed in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, ready to compete in the FIBA U-18 African Championships qualifying tournament scheduled from July 29 to August 4.
Both teams have been intensively training over the past two weeks, underlining Nigeria’s commitment to showcasing its burgeoning basketball talent on the continental stage.
The male team, guided by seasoned youth coach Humphrey Fubara Onyanabo, include standout players such as Bassey Ekpo Effiong and Abraham Boyce Hart, alongside promising talents like Sani Samuel and Azeez Suleiman Olaitan.
This well-rounded roster is expected to bring a dynamic mix of skill and athleticism to the tournament.
On the female side, Juliana Faustinus Akhere has been preparing her squad for the intense competition ahead.
The team features a blend of emerging stars including Tewogbade Ayomide, Gbemisola Samuel, and Khadijat Garba. The players have been honing their techniques and strategies, demonstrating a unity and focus that bodes well for their performance in Abidjan.
