NIGERIA: “My Dad Makes Me Feel Broke” – Davido

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that despite his remarkable success and wealth, he occasionally feels “broke” compared to his father, who is a multi-billionaire businessman, Adedeji Adeleke.

Davido disclosed this during an interview in Paris after attending Amiri’s Fall/Winter 2025 show at Paris Fashion Week, held at Palais de Tokyo on Thursday.

In a viral clip from the interview, Davido was asked if anyone had ever made him feel broke despite his numerous accomplishments. Without hesitation, he replied, “Yeah, my dad.”

Meanwhile, as Lagos State announced Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Tiwa Savage as headliners for its countdown fiesta, fans are asking, “Where is Davido?”

Still, Davido remains a dominant force both musically and culturally, with his recent appearance in Paris adding to a growing list of global achievements.
