NIGERIA: MTN Apologizes To Customers After Widespread Network Disruption

Telecommunications giant MTN Nigeria, has issued an official apology, following a major network outage that left subscribers unable to access internet services across parts of Lagos State.
The disruption, which began on Friday and extended into Saturday, sparked frustration among users who struggled with communication and financial transactions.
Many affected customers took to social media to express their grievances over the service downtime.
In a statement addressing the issue, MTN reassured subscribers that the problem had been resolved.
The company stated: “Dear customer, we sincerely apologize for the challenges experienced with internet services yesterday in parts of Lagos State.
“This has been resolved, and services are fully restored. Thank you for your understanding.”
The outage generated significant online reactions, with frustrated users sharing their experiences on different social media platforms.
Some businesses relying on digital transactions also reported setbacks.
MTN has not disclosed the specific cause of the disruption, but assured customers of its commitment to maintaining stable and reliable network services.
