NIGERIA: Lagos State Commissions New Deputy Sheriff Warehouse in Ikorodu

By Ameenat Hamzat, Lagos, Nigeria
The Lagos State Government has commissioned a new Deputy Sheriff Warehouse in Ikorodu to improve the handling of properties involved in court cases.
According to the government, in a statement made on the Governor’s official X handle, on Sunday, the facility was created to securely store and protect items tied up in legal proceedings, especially those undergoing appeal or awaiting final rulings.
The statement reads: “With the warehouse, they’ll be kept safe, professionally managed, and easily traceable until the courts reach a final decision.”
“This is another step toward a more efficient, equitable, and respected judicial process in our state. Lagos will always strive to set the pace. We are building systems that reflect our values: transparency, accountability, and a deep respect for the rule of law,” it was added.
