NIGERIA: Kwara Governor Brief President Tinubu After Deadly Attack In Woro and Nuku Kaima Local Government Of Kwara State.

The Kwara State Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu’s deployment of troops to Kaiama Local Government Area of the state would restore peace after a deadly terrorist attack.
Governor AbdulRazaq spoke with State House correspondents after meeting the President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He said he briefed Tinubu on the attack in Kaiama and thanked him for the swift establishment of Operation Savannah Shield.
The governor also said the operation would go a long way in deterring further attacks and bringing calm to the area.
AbdulRazaq said the first commander of Operation Savannah Shield had already reported in Ilorin and commenced work.
“The President has directed the armed forces to move in and to clean up the place and make sure peace and calm is restored.”
He said the state government would continue to rely on the military and other security agencies to stabilise the affected communities.
Recall that African Culture TV reported that suspected terrorists on Tuesday, launched deadly attacks on the Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama local government area of Kwara, with scores feared dead and properties worth billions of Naira
were destroyed.
