Kwaghaondo Aondona Kingsley, a 20-year-old medical student who was among the 20 medical and dental students kidnapped in Benue State, has raised alarm, appealing for help, revealing that the kidnappers are demanding N50 million for their release.
Recall that students, from the University of Maiduguri and University of Jos, were travelling together when they were ambushed and kidnapped by gunmen in the Otukpo area of Benue State.
Aondona disclosed this through his social media account, stating that they have been starved of food for two days.
He also managed to share the contact number of a certain Pius, who is coordinating the collection of the funds. He further revealed that the abductors have threatened to start killing them the following day.
He wrote: “We were kidnapped on our way to Enugu for a convention. They are requesting 50 million naira for 20 of us medical students. Please help us; we haven’t eaten for two days. Contact Pius at 08163420157—he is coordinating the funds,”.
They said they would start killing us tomorrow,” he said.
