The residents of Plateau state were elated today when power was restored in their state. Residents of Jos the capital city thanked God and gave the federal government of Nigeria props for restoring power supply in the state.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN confirmed the fact that power had been restored in some Northern states namely, Plateau, Benue, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi and Gombe.
The blackout in the Northern states happened because of vandalization of power plants by vandals according to government sources. Elements linked to terrorism and criminals were also linked with the blackout.
Not all the states affected are enjoying restoration of services like the states mentioned above but this development is a welcome one because it shows that the government has done something about the situation.
The bottom line is that the people are hopeful that full service will be restored soon, and that life will get back to normal. It sure is a welcome development according to the indigenes of Jos the most populous city in Plateau State of Nigeria.
