NIGERIA: Iyabo Ojo Becomes ‘ Sexiest Grandma’ as Daughter Priscilla, Juma Welcome First Child

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo is celebrating as her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux have welcomed their first child.

The baby arrived just four months after the couple’s Lagos wedding. On Sunday evening, Iyabo shared the news on Instagram with a playful declaration: “Say hello to the latest sexiest grandma in town, my grandson is the cutest.”

Priscilla also penned a heartfelt message to her husband on Monday, writing: “you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, and I love you more than words can say. Thank you always my love.”

In another post by the new mother, Priscilla, she announced the name of her new born:

She wrote: ” Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala. 24.08.25.”

Fans and celebrities have since flooded social media with congratulatory messages for the couple and Iyabo, who embraced the “grandma” title with pride.

Priscilla and Jux held their traditional and white weddings in Lagos in April, following an Islamic ceremony in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in February. Their love story became public in July 2024.

Priscilla, born March 13, 2001, is a Babcock University graduate of Media and Theater Arts who earned a BON nomination for Best Child Actress after her 2015 debut in Beyond Disability. Jux, born Juma Mussa Mkambala, is one of East Africa’s biggest R&B and Bongo Flava artistes with hits like Enjoy, Sugua, and Nidhibiti.
