NIGERIA: FG Declares April 18 and 21 Public Holidays For Easter Celebration

The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, as public holidays to mark Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement on behalf of the government, congratulating Christians nationwide on the celebration of Easter.
In a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Minister urged Christians to reflect on the sacrifice and love exemplified by Jesus Christ, who gave His life for humanity’s redemption.
He also encouraged Nigerians to use the Easter period to pray for the country’s peace, unity, and stability.
Reaffirming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s dedication to the Renewed Hope Agenda, Tunji-Ojo emphasized the administration’s commitment to national development.
He called on citizens to show love and kindness to one another through generous and compassionate acts.
The Minister wished Christians a joyful Easter and extended warm holiday greetings to all Nigerians.
