NIGERIA: Ex-NYSC DG, Nine Others Kidnapped As Bandits Attack Katsina Community

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have, reportedly abducted Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga (retd.), a former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), along with at least nine others in an attack on Tsiga village, Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The attack, which occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, reportedly left one person dead as the bandits stormed the community, firing sporadically to instill fear among residents.
According to eyewitnesses, the assailants looted several homes, making away with valuables before escaping with their captives.
