Nigeria – Edo 2024 Guber Polls: INEC To Resume Collation of Results On Sunday

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has revealed that the collation of results for the 2024 governorship election in Edo State will commence today, Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 10 a.m.
The announcement was made by Dr. Anugbum Onuoha, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Edo State. He stated that the collation process is transparent and follows all necessary guidelines and laws set by INEC.
In a statement, Dr. Onuoha said: “We wish to inform the general public, political stakeholders, and observers that the collation of results for the Edo State Governorship Election will resume at 10:00 a.m. today. The process is being conducted transparently and in line with INEC’s regulations.”
He further called for calm and patience from all involved parties, emphasizing INEC’s commitment to a credible and accurate election outcome. “We appreciate the patience and cooperation of all parties as we work to ensure a free, fair, and transparent election in Edo State.”
Onuoha also urged stakeholders to maintain peace and order while the collation process is being concluded.
