NIGERIA: DSS Dismisses 115 Personnel, Warns Public Against Fraudulent Impostors
By Onoja Baba, Nigeria
The Department of State Services (DSS) has announced the dismissal of 115 personnel as part of ongoing internal reforms aimed at strengthening discipline and integrity within the agency.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the secret police said the affected personnel were relieved of their duties over a period of time, following established internal procedures.
The Service also warned members of the public to beware of fraudulent activities being perpetrated by some of the dismissed individuals who continue to pose as DSS operatives.
“In addition to earlier disclaimers on the duo of Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, the Service finds it necessary to warn citizens of the fraudulent activities of some of these persons still posing as DSS personnel,” the statement read.
The DSS advised Nigerians to avoid any official dealings with the dismissed individuals, stressing that the list of affected personnel has been published on its official website https://dss.gov.ng/media/more/4 — for public verification.
For further enquiries, requests, or complaints, the Service urged citizens to reach out through its official contact channels: phone number 09088373515 or email dsspr@dss.gov.ng
The latest action underscores the DSS’s ongoing commitment to professional ethics, accountability, and public trust as part of its institutional reform efforts.
