By Onoja Baba, Nigeria
Justice Dehinde Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, has ordered the final forfeiture of shares worth N246,305,544 linked to a former Managing Director of the Nigerian Army Properties Limited, Major-General U.M. Mohammed (rtd.), to the Federal Government.
The order was issued on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, following a motion on notice filed by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to the EFCC, the forfeited assets comprised several units of shares traced to the retired Army General.
The anti-graft agency had sought the court’s intervention to permanently transfer ownership of the assets to the government.
Justice Dipeolu, after reviewing the application, granted the EFCC’s request, thereby making the forfeiture order final.
The development was made known by the EFCC via its official I
nstagram page.
