Nigeria – Chosen Church Overseer Muoka, Warns Social Media Influencer VeryDarkMan To Desist From Speaking Ill Of His Church
By Onoja Baba, Nigeria
Lazarus Muoka, the General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, has issued a stern warning to controversial social media influencer Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, urging him to stop speaking ill of his church or face divine consequences.
In a recent video seen online, Muoka addressed his congregation, stating that VeryDarkMan is learning a harsh lesson for his critical remarks about the church.
This comes after the influencer publicly questioned the credibility of several miraculous testimonies shared by church members, which had gone viral on social media.
Among the testimonies that sparked the controversy were claims of a lion saving a member from kidnappers, another member allegedly seizing AK-47 rifles from armed robbers, and a man surviving multiple kidnapping attempts and gunshot wounds “without injury.”
VeryDarkMan, in response to these testimonies, called on the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to investigate the church’s claims, accusing The Lord’s Chosen of misleading Christians with exaggerated stories. He also threatened legal action over the controversial testimonies.
Muoka, without mentioning direct punishment, implied that VeryDarkMan was already facing divine consequences for his criticism, saying, “I didn’t speak evil of him. I only made a statement… If God’s anointed gets angry with you, you are finished.”
The warning comes as VeryDarkMan remains embroiled in other public controversies, including disputes with crossdresser Bobrisky, rapper Falz, human rights lawyer Femi Falana, and officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
Muoka’s remarks have added another dimension to the ongoing saga, with tensions rising between the outspoken social media figure and the church.
