NIGERIA: Breaking: Former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello Released from Custody

The Former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has been released from the Kuje Minimum Custodial Centre in Abuja, today, after meeting the bail conditions set by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court.
The spokesperson for the FCT Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Adamu Duza confirmed the news, noting that the former governor was released on Friday evening following the fulfillment of all bail requirements.
” He (Yahaya Bello) has been released after meeting the bail conditions. He was released this [Friday] evening,” Duza stated
Duza further added that the release of Yahaya Bello was handled smoothly, with the presence of the FCT Controller, Ajibogun Olatubosun, who ensured that all protocols were strictly followed.
Recall that the former governor of Kogi state was facing charges of alleged money laundering involving N110 billion, brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
