NIGERIA: Army Corps Commanders Begin Four-Day Assessment Visit To Operation Hadin Kai In North East

Top commanders of the Nigerian Army’s Combat Service Support Corps on Wednesday commenced a four-day operational visit to Headquarters Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI In Maiduguri, Borno State.
The move is to strengthen logistics, medical support and overall combat readiness in the counter-insurgency theatre.
The delegation, comprising Commander Corps of Supply and Transport Major General Nansak Shagaya, Corps Commander Ordnance Major General Abdullahi Ibrahim, Commander Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Major General Adeyinka Adereti, and Commander Corps of Medical Brigadier General Innocent Enwuchola, was received by Theatre Commander Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar at Maimalari Cantonment.
Speaking on behalf of the team, Major General Shagaya commended troops for their sacrifices and stated that the visit aims to conduct a comprehensive logistics assessment to sustain current and future operations.
He described the Theatre’s briefing as “insightful and highly commendable.”
The commanders praised Major General Abubakar’s leadership in logistics efficiency and maintenance culture, assuring that all observations and requests will be escalated for prompt action.
Brigadier General Enwuchola announced plans to upgrade the 7 Division Medical Services and Hospital to international standards, while Major General Ibrahim and Major General Adereti pledged strategic interventions in ordnance supply and equipment maintenance.
In response, the Theatre Commander thanked the delegation and expressed confidence that the visit will significantly boost operational effectiveness.
The assessment, running from 26 to 29 November 2025, will also cover Headquarters 7 Division and Sectors 1, 2 and 3 of Operation HADIN KAI.
