NIGERIA: AMVCA Returns For 11th Edition, Nominations Set For March 23

One of Nigeria’s biggest Award event, the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) is set to return for its 11th edition, scheduled to take place on May 10, 2025.

The Organizers of the AMVCA has announced that nominations for the prestigious awards will be unveiled on March 23.

It was also revealed that this year’s edition would introduce a new category, Best Music Score, aimed at recognizing the l role of music in filmmaking. The addition brings the total number of award categories to 28.

Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and Channels for West Africa at MultiChoice, emphasized AMVCA’s commitment to celebrating African storytelling and talent.
