Nigeria – Abuja, Port Harcourt Airports Receive International Awards for Emergency Management

The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and the Port Harcourt International Airport have been recognized by the Airport Council International (ACI) Africa for their excellence in airport emergency management and resilience.
In a press release issued on Friday, by Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser on Media and Communication to the Honorable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, it was disclosed that the awards were presented during the 33rd Annual General Assembly of ACI Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa.
At the event, the Secretary-General of ACI Africa, Ali Tounsi, alongside the President of ACI Africa, Emmanuel Chaves, presented plaques to representatives of both airports in recognition of their exceptional dedication to safety and emergency preparedness.
The awards were described as a testament to the efforts of all involved in ensuring effective airport emergency management in Nigeria.
The statement noted that the awards reflect the aviation sector’s commitment to enhancing security and efficiency in airport operations, further solidifying Nigeria’s position within the global aviation community.
