NIGERIA: 26-year-old Nigeria Lawyer Wins Miss Nigeria 2024

The 26-year-old Nigerian lawyer and model, Doris Ogah, representing the South-South region, has emerged as the winner of the 2024 Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant.
The 2024 Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant marked the 45th edition and was themed “Beyond Beauty: Reigning Together as Queens”.
The event was held Thursday night at the Royal Box in Victoria Island, Lagos.
With 45 contestants who initially competed, 20 semi-finalists were selected, with the final stage featuring 10 contestants.
Ms. Ogah won over the other finalists, including Ann Eneanya, Abosede Sorinola, Oluwatofunmi Adekola, Praise Obafemi, Diane Paul, Simeon Obianujuwa, Faith Ogbele, Divine Nelson, and Oluwabukumi Ogunsanya.
The event also featured a distinguished panel of judges led by Mo Abudu and included, Mai Atafo (designer), Kate Henshaw (actress), and Kelechi Amadi-Obi (photographer).
Other judges were Dr. Adaobi Nwakuche, Olatomiwa Williams, and Wunmi Ogunbiyi.
Others were Aisha Abba Kyari, actress Ini Edo, TV host Michelle Dede, and former Miss Nigeria Ezinne Akudo Anyaoha.
During the final round, the top 10 contestants were cut down to five after a Question and Answer session.
The five finalists included Ann Eneanya, Divine Nelson, Diane Paul, Oluwabukumi Ogunsanya, and Doris Ogah.
After a final deliberation, the judges of the event announced Doris Ogah as the winner, crowning her the 45th Miss Nigeria.
The outgoing Miss Nigeria, Shatu Garko, graced the stage to congratulate her successor, urging her to make the most of her reign by contributing to the betterment of humanity.
